A perfect practice for achieving balance between movement and stillness – with a focus on opening the hips and heart, strengthening the core and aligning the spine. In the yang tradition, we begin with a series of surya namaskars(sun salutations), loosening and warming our muscles before introducing long-held, deep opening postures in the yin tradition. During these yin holds, you’ll release deeper with the sound vibrations of the crystal bowls washing clear your physical and energetic body and complete the practice with a crystal bowl savasana to help you reach your highest layer of self – the Anandamaya or bliss/divine body.
At Soluna, yoga is not merely a physical exercise, but is practiced with the intention of expanding our mind/body awareness. Nearly all classes are 75 minutes long, begin in mediation and end in Savasana. Our classes are suitable for everyone regardless of experience. Each student’s abilities and limitations are respected and honored.
