This practice takes the therapeutic aspects of Yoga, with additional awareness of Ayurveda and Naturopathy, and prescribes individualistic treatment based on each unique person. This is a 60 minute private session.
Techniques used in Therapeutic Yoga are based on traditional Yoga and consist of physical postures (asana), breath control (pranayama) and meditation. It is a holistic practice which also encompasses Yogic lifestyle, cleansing techniques, stress management, diet and other healing modalities for specific condition/s.
Private sessions are individually tailored to accommodate specific needs, regardless of age, gender, physical fitness level and flexibility. No prior experience of yoga is needed. Treatment is given one-on-one in a gentle, safe and effective manner.
Therapeutic Yoga benefits many common conditions such as back problems, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, hypertension, asthma, digestive problems, obesity, aging, insomnia, thyroid disorders, mental issues such as anxiety and stress, pregnancy, gynecological problems including menstrual disorders and reproductive health, ADHD, headache, varicose veins, sinusitis and more.
Therapeutic Yoga can typically be combined with medical treatments you are already receiving and in conjunction with other healing therapies.
After the initial in-person consultation, sessions are based on progression, with each session building on the previous for optimized, individualized results. The client may be given recommended practices to continue at home between sessions.
